Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) will launch a food festival next month aimed at spurring the social and tourist movement of Amman city.

The Amman 1st Food Festival, set to launch on September 24 in Al Hussein Parks in Amman, will be open to different types of food, including Jordanian, Arab, and popular foreign cuisines, a statement said.

The participation base of the festival includes 30 parties representing hotels and touristic restaurants, restaurants offering international recipes, local restaurants with Jordanian and Arab character, local Jordanian societies, and food products companies.

The festival constitutes an opportunity for the visitors to taste, for free, and to buy their favourite dishes and products, as well as attending several artistic activities and entertaining family and children oriented tableaus, and visiting the Royal Automobile Museum and the children’s museum.

The activities will be held at the main location of the festival, in a tent filled with Jordanian traditional spirit and local dishes, in addition to several entertaining activities and programmes for children. – TradeArabia News Service
