Dutch agency starts ME operations
Dubai, July 26, 2010
DAY, an award-winning Amsterdam-based creative agency, has officially opened its Middle East operation.
The agency starts at its office in Dubai Media City with an in-house creative team of seven and a roster of launch clients that include projects for Unilever, Coco-Cola and leading UAE food and beverage retailer Masafi.
The Middle East operation will be headed up by Dennis de Rond, strategy partner across DAY’s global business.
DAY arrives in the Middle East on the crest of back to back award-winning years at the internationally-acclaimed Red Dot Design Awards.
At the 2010 event, held in March this year, the agency won top honours for its creative work on retail solutions for the Van Gough Museum shop and for the pioneering Nike Store in Paris.
“It has always been our ambition to bring our operation into this emerging and dynamic market place,” said de Rond, commenting on DAY’s arrival to the Middle East.
“We have taken our time to ensure that are able to offer clients the very best in creative talent coupled with a thorough understanding of the regional market place.”
“Our Middle East team combines experience of working, both agency and client side, on some the largest global brands and has a deep understanding of local market values and working practices. We are confident that this invaluable insight will help our clients get to where they want to be and our roster of launch clients certainly supports this view,” he added.
DAY plans to offer its clients turnkey solutions for projects requiring any number of the following needs: strategy, innovation, positioning and branding, a statement said.
With an in-house team of over 30 employees and a network of hundreds of freelancers, DAY is currently working with clients in nine countries, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
