H2O New Media to manage Twitter service
Dubai, June 25, 2009
H2O New Media, leaders in white label social media in the Middle East, has launched its new value added service, Twitter management for corporate businesses, as part of their social media marketing portfolio.
Twitter, an online short messaging service, is increasingly being used by marketers and has become an integral part of marketing communications and strategies in the region.
The new service launched by H2O New Media will provide Twitter management to brands and organizations that wish to utilise the tool effectively with their target audience.
A micro-blogging service, Twitter is a free social networking application that enables its users to send and read each others' updates, known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters, displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to other users - known as followers - who have subscribed to them.
The product has proven to be an incredibly efficient channel providing the most reliable source of information and updates.
“Twitter is being adopted as a key brand communication tool; there are several great examples of where Twitter has to communicate brand messages, new products and special offers, etc.,” said Steve Vaile, CEO, H2O New Media.
“Companies must recruit Twitter users or attract them to ‘follow’ their brands by providing links from their websites. H2O New Media does not update the Tweets as this is the role of the marketing team however we manage the recruitment process. Developing a following is crucial and takes a lot of man hours; this laborious process includes using network marketing, email invitations and manual labour,” he added.
“Clients simply provide H2O New Media with a brief detailing the target demographic and we then identify the process to recruit the desired profile of followers,” continued Vaile.
“The ROI is simple and effective, clients have a platform that communicates with as many as 100,000 users every hour of every day making Twitter a useful and effective addition to any brand communications strategy.”
H2O New Media has been testing this service for the past few weeks resulting in an increase number of followers for their Twitter page.
A significant growth from 240 to 1500 followers within a week indicates H2O New Medias capabilities to recruit users by engaging in effective dialogue.
H2O New Media is now in the top ten followed companies tagged with “Middle East” and is rated as #14 for the tag “Dubai”.
H2O New Media expects companies in the service industry to adopt this new tool of communication with publishing and FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) sectors taking the lead but also expects to see a lot of demand from marketing agencies. – TradeArabia News Service
