Injazat launches new defence subsidiary

Injazat Data Systems has launched a new subsidiary that will provide business process and information technology to support local and regional defence services.
A joint venture between Mubadala Development and EDS, Injazat Datat Systems, is the region’s leading information technology outsourcing and business process outsourcing company.
The new subsidiary, Injazat Defence Services, will be positioned as a local defence company that can leverage Electronic Data Systems’ global defence consultancy, as well as its outsourcing and service delivery experience, to address local and regional military and defence requirements, said a top company official.
“As one of the UAE’s leading IT services companies, we have developed a solid reputation based on our secure and flexible services that have earned us the respect of governments throughout the region,” Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, CEO, Injazat Data Systems said.
Drawing on the strengths of Injazat Data Systems and Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Injazat Defence Services will provide a wide range of defence services.
“The defence subsidiary would capitalise on this reputation and develop locally world-class expertise to assist the local and regional military and defence organisations meet their needs,” he added.
From areas such as reconnaissance and battlefield intelligence, to logistics and training, payroll, pensions and veterans administration, Injazat Defence Services will deliver flexible and innovative consultancy and solutions to meet modern military requirements.
EDS is a leading player in the global defence IT market and has garnered some of the world’s most significant outsourcing and service delivery contracts, including a defence information and infrastructure program linking 150,000 desktops and 300,000 users in 2,000 locations.
The company has also been awarded the world’s largest government IT contract to provide the delivery and management of the United States Navy Marine Corps Intranet; in addition to the personnel training, engineering and logistics support for the US Navy Supply Command.
