UAE-based telecom services operator du said it has joined hands with famous Arabic singer Angham Mohamed Ali Suleiman and Victorylink, a leading value-added service (VAS) provider in Egypt and Middle East, to launch the exclusive platform “Angham World.”
The move comes as part of du’s strategy to become the ‘preferred content distribution channel in the UAE,’ said a statement from the company.
According to du, the new platform will bring its customers closer to the celebrity. Within the “Angham World” is the Angham fan club where fans can interact with the singer and listen to her latest songs, as they will have access to exclusive content, updates from the star and her concerts, as well as news.
Speaking at the launch, CEO Osman Sultan said: "We are pleased to be partnering with Angham to launch the new platform. Fans will have access to her latest songs by sending ‘ANGHAM’ to 7788 for Dh2 per day."
Engy El Sabban, the chief executive of Victorylink, said the group was delighted on its tieup with Victorylink and du. "This is our first series of upcoming launches for bringing more celebrities to their customers," he added.
On the new venture, Angham said: "Technology and communication are key elements that allow artists like myself to keep in touch with my fans, and update them on my latest news and music."
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the du team for inviting me to become their partner and for hosting me," she added.
