Thomson Broadcast to showcase system integration capability
DUBAI, March 2, 2016
Thomson Broadcast, a major systems integrator and transmission specialist, is set to showcase its system integration capability for analog and digital networks at Cabsat.
The leading platform for the broadcast, production, content delivery, digital media and satellite sectors will run from March 8 to 10 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
With the signature with the Moroccan public Broadcaster for a turnkey medium-wave radio transmission system while getting contracts signed in Uganda, Ivory Coast , Cabo Verde and Indonesia for large-scale DTT networks, Thomson Broadcast demonstrates its ability to provide radio and television broadcasting services while manufacturing transmission core equipment and developing software applications.
Thomson Broadcast has also offered complete services including installation and commissioning, civil work and refurbishment of the feeder and the antenna tuning.
As a key technology provider, the new S7HP neo range will provide the highest reliability while embedding latest innovations for the lowest cost of ownership. The interface wirings have been replaced by optical fiber control system to guarantee a large immunity to environmental electromagnetic radiations while Silicium Carbide (SiC) transistors have been integrated in the amplifying chain for the best-in-class energy efficiency in the market.
Pascal Veillat, chairman of Arelis Group and Thomas Broadcast, said: “With more than 20 per cent of our turnover invested in Research & Development, Thomson has been developing during the last 3 years civil and defense transmission systems from the satellite downlink to the radio receivers and set-top-boxes.
"This helps government strategies which aims at covering their countries and well beyond to promote their radio programs as well as at digitalising their television media for more content and better national coverage for the best return of investment.”
During Cabsat 2016 exhibition on the French Pavilion, Thomson Broadcast is highlighting its S7HP neo RADIO transmitter line.
Based on a long field AM/DRM experience and worldwide customers positive feedbacks on the latest transmitter ranges, the S7HP neo design benefits from two major features to reinforce the global reliability: the auto hot pluggable system secures the replacement of default modules even in case of multiples failures while the rotation of active amplifier modules enhances the outstanding reliability as equal workload is applied to all amplifier modules for less thermal stress and longer lifetime.
Thomson broadcast experts will also present the high-power Futhura TV Transmitter series deployed for operational cost savings and long-term reliability To complete this range, the medium-power range Nextivy offers high efficiency combined with complete flexibility for easy installation and versatile performance in any location.
The ultra-compact, the low-power transmitter Dreamline range is available from 20W to 300W RMS. Designed to adapt to any field situation, all Thomson Broadcast transmitters are dualcast DVB-T/DVB-T2 capable coverage and benefits from multiple options such as a built-in 1+1 configuration. - TradeArabia News Service
