The 34 strong cast members of ‘Treasure Island’, a swashbuckling family musical, are preparing to hit the stage at Dubai College Auditorium on the March 11.

In a show performed by the talented youngsters of Duet Productions, Jim Hawkins tells his tale of adventures and mutiny on the high sea in the pursuit of a chest of gold on Skull Island. Characters include: Pirate Galore, a dashing captain and his fine crew of sailors, Rough Tough Sally, the crazy Ben Gunn and the beautiful mermaids.

“The show was first performed in the UK some 22 years ago,” said Hazel Hiles, writer and director. “Little did I know then that it would be on the stage in Dubai in such an amazing venue all these years later!”

“Since the original show, we have developed and improved the script and songs to keep it current,” said the show’s musical director and writer, Andy Hiles. “It was last performed with a cast of 65 youngsters in Kuwait!”

Tickets to the show will be priced at Dh50 ($13.6) per person. The musical have two twos - at 2.15 pm and 7.15 pm. – TradeArabia News Service
