Saudi bans two pro-Hezbollah, Iran channels

RIYADH, December 5, 2015

Saudi Culture and Information Minister Dr. Adel Al-Tarifi ordered the suspension of pro-Hezbollah and Iran TV channels Al-Mayadeen and Al-Manar which broadcast from Lebanon.

The two channels regularly orchestrate defamatory media campaigns against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, spreading rumours and lies about the Operation Decisive Storm in Yemen.

According to Sabq, the ministry will soon launch a Persian TV channel and a website to counter the pro-Iranian propaganda.
