Fujifilm launches new campaign in Middle East
UAE, November 25, 2014
Fujifilm MEA, multinational photography and imaging company, has launched an exciting new campaign themed ‘Your Story, You Are Living It’ in the Middle East.
The campaign, a first of its kind by Fujifilm, is inspired by those moments captured by the enthusiastic photography enthusiasts. Fujifilm wants to celebrate these moments across the region, illustrating these stories with everybody.
The ‘Your Story, You are living it’ Campaign by Fujifilm, in line with the phrase – ‘Every Picture has a Story Behind it’, best defines the movement from the Japanese-based company. The campaign, which is centred on the photographers and their work rather than the cameras, portrays their ‘story’ backed by pictures to provide ‘bookmarks’ in their underlying stories.
South African-based Neill Soden, a professional photographer, said: “I quite enjoyed being part of this campaign, and spare no feature of the camera unexplored. I have been enjoying the resolution of the Fujifilm X-T1.”
Former banker turned professional photographer, Rufat Abas from Azerbaijan, said: “My photographs stand out due to their graphical strength and creativity, and the Fujifilm range of cameras have always been my choice of cameras.”
Jordanian Laith Majali uses the X-Pro1 camera, said: “I love street and landscape photography, and the X-Pro 1 is adept to different lighting conditions.”
The photographs, which will be sourced from Fujifilm’s Ambassadors, are said to be inspired from emotions, human interaction, travel and lifestyle, and will be used as campaign themes on different marketing channels. Photographers from across the region will be involved in describing their bookmark through their works.
“Out here in the UAE we are spoilt for choice, Dubai is a snapshot of the world and there are umpteen avenues to find the perfect picture,” said Michael Cruz, a Filipino-engineer based in Dubai for a decade now.
“The X-T1’s night/low light capabilities are quite breath-taking, much like the landscape of the Middle East. I cannot think of another camera that I would use to capture my moments,” said Saudi Arabia’s Sulaiman Al-Shubaily.
Yuta Kawamura, marketing manager, Electronics Imaging Division, Fujifilm Middle East and Africa, said: “We have several cameras and lenses, but we want to bring to the fore results you can achieve with them. We have a wide range of cameras for distinct photographers, so, this campaign would help them decide which is the best fit for their style of work i.e. travel, fashion and street photographers.”
He added: “Fujifilm has always had appreciable association with our consumers. We honour the comments and feedback from our consumers drives us in the innovation of better products. This campaign is our way of appreciating and acknowledging the moments that have been created by these story-tellers. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words.” – TradeArabia News Service
