Casablanca ... host city for advertising talks.

Gulf Marcom to take part in key advertising event

MANAMA, October 9, 2014

Bahrain-based Gulf Marcom will represent the kingdom at a key regional meeting of advertising and marketing communication agencies that starts today (October 9).

The company's chairman Khamis Al Muqla is attending the three-day Icom's 2014 Europe/Middle East/Africa regional meeting in Casablanca, Morocco, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

It is being hosted by Moroccan agency Altair.

Icom is the world's largest network of independent advertising and marketing communication agencies with more than 80 member agencies based in more than 65 countries.

The meeting will include presentations and workshops on topics such as branded content in mobile media, new tools to measure aspects of a brand as well as an update on the Moroccan advertising scene.

Guest speakers include Alternative Brand Solutions founder Pascal Somarribe, who will present his ideas and hold a workshop on branded content.

Chris Schaumann, Microsoft global vice-president of digital marketing and customer relationship management, will demonstrate branded content in mobile devices.

Al Muqla said through its participation, Gulf Marcom expects to gain by learning from other agencies and developing best practices to address industry demands. - TradeArabia News Service
