SHARJAH, UAE, September 1, 2014
Expo Centre Sharjah, a premier exhibition organiser and events venue in the region, is gearing up for a busy second half of the year, starting with the 37th ‘MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show’ next month.
The show is set to be held from October 14 to 18, featuring more than 450 exhibitors from across the world, a statement said.
Major attractions at the event will include stunning gold and diamond jewellery creations from around the world with national pavilions of Hong Kong-China, Thailand, India, Italy, Malaysia and Singapore and attractive prizes in daily raffle draws, it said.
The International Automobile Show will take place from November 26 to 29. Alongside, the region’s awards for the automotive industry, the Middle East Motor Awards (Mema), will be held on November 27.
The events line-up, which will also include Sharjah International Book Fair, Chinese Commodities Fair Sharjah, Halal Middle East and Kitchen Equipment Middle East, has generated immense interest within the country and the region, prompting the Expo Centre to look forward to a phenomenal growth in existing and new shows in the coming season, it said.
The Expo Centre had a good start to this year, when the first show in its events calendar, SteelFab 2014, added 50 per cent more exhibition space to accommodate a 25 per cent rise in the number of exhibitors.
During the first half, Expo Centre hosted 12 trade and consumer events, attracting over 380,000 trade and general visitors, the statement said. - TradeArabia News Service
