Dubai group launches 'Filmi 72' contest

Watani Al Emarat establishment has announced the launch of the second edition of "Filmi 72" in support of #MyDubai initiative reflecting social life in the emirate.
The 'Filmi 72 festival, which runs from March 16 to 18, encourages the participants to produce a short film reflecting the social life in Dubai. The winners will walk away with awards worth Dh22,000 ($5988).
The #MyDubai initiative was launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
Watani Al Emarat director general Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi expressed the pride of the establishment in launching the competition under this name.
This comes in line with the core values of Watani Al Emarat that support the the devotion and the strengthening of national identity, affiliation, and pride in the UAE social life, which is a role model of coexistence and life harmony, he stated.
Abdul Aziz Al-Najjar, the executive director of "Filmi" project, said those interested in taking part in the contest must send in their entries within the next three days.-TradeArabia News Service
