Abu Dhabi TV Network subscriptions up 122pc

Abu Dhabi TV Network, part of Abu Dhabi Media, announced an increase of 122 per cent in subscription sales since its launch of the Barclays Premiere League in 2010/2011.

The third season of the league which started in August 2012, is attracting extensive interest, with hundreds of thousands households across the Mena region enjoying Abu Dhabi Sports’ wide coverage, said Mohammed Najeeb, head of Abu Dhabi Sports.

“We are proud to witness the growth our network has seen since the launch of the Pay TV platform two years ago, that also coincides with our network’s coverage of the Barclays Premiere League,” Najeeb said.

“Viewers of Abu Dhabi Sports from across the Arab world are able to enjoy the Barclays Premiere League through different channels depending on their needs, whether through television or mobile streaming. Abu Dhabi TV networks, strives to provide to the minute HD coverage to viewers wherever they may be, allowing them not to miss any game.

“This is in line with our aim to continuously enhance our viewers’ experience; by providing the most innovative technology and presenting them with the ultimate experience as they enjoy their favorite programmes,” he added.

Abu Dhabi Sports covers all 380 games in HD with both Arabic and English commentary. Special privileges for the network’s subscribers also include free access to the Premiere League games on computers and smart phones through live mobile streaming, allowing them to enjoy the service and be connected from anywhere within the Mena region.

It also covers the Barclays Premiere League live games throughout the year. Coverage includes new programming around the Live and delayed games, with pre and post match studio shows, expert analysis and international phone-ins.

In addition, the channel also features classic matches from the Premier League’s extensive archive, daily football news bulletins and breaking news crawlers enabling viewers of the channel on the Abu Dhabi TV Network to stay right up to date with all the latest news and developments. – TradeArabia News Service
