Bahrain group unveils big expansion plans

Manama, April 11, 2012

Play, a hands-on activity centre founded by Sama Yateem, is expanding its business to include franchising, with the service of Los Angeles-based The Franchise Consulting Group.

Play, which opened at Seef Mall in May last year, plans to launch franchises across the GCC region first before opening its doors internationally.

"We are encouraged and inspired by the warm welcome that Play has received in Bahrain and intend to spread the concept and business outside the country with the acumen and track record of The Franchise Consulting Group president Edward Kushell and his team," said Yateem.

Yateem, the granddaughter of Bahraini businessman and Yateem Brothers chairman Hussein Yateem, selected The Franchise Consulting Group because of its extensive experience structuring new franchise ventures in international markets and its strong client list which includes companies such as Marriott, Mobil and Krispy Kreme.

"This is an exciting opportunity for individuals or businesses who want to help expand the successful and innovative Play brand outside of Bahrain," said Kushell.

"We are pleased to be working with Ms Yateem on this venture and have confidence that the concept will be well-received internationally," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
