Dubai Mall marks 10th anniversary with fashion event

The Dubai Mall in partnership with Vogue Arabia will hold a large-scale fashion event from November 15 to 25 commemorating the iconic 10th anniversary of the mall.
Over the past decade, The Dubai Mall has emerged as the world’s leading lifestyle and shopping destination, welcoming an average of 80 million people per year over the last four years and positioning itself as the luxury fashion hub for the Middle East.
To mark the milestone occasion, Vogue Loves Fashion Avenue will feature huge, picturesque, and interactive installations; exclusive talks with celebrities and style icons; masterclasses from industry experts; live performances; and more than 50 in-store activities with luxury fashion and beauty brands across The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.
The experience will bring the fashion capitals of the world to Dubai, creating four distinct districts across Fashion Avenue that will visually whisk you away to Paris, New York, Milan, and London. The immersive installations will offer you that perfect Instagram backdrop, while beauty masterclasses and inspirational talks will ensure you look and feel your best.
The itinerary features exclusive programming at 7pm nightly on the Main Stage, highlighted by an intimate talk on November 15th from legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell, who will open up about her career in conversation with Vogue Arabia Editor-in-Chief Manuel Arnaut. The global icon will also be signing copies of the November issue of Vogue Arabia on a first-come, first-served basis.
November 16 will see two talks, starting with International perfume expert Chandler Burr talking about the power of fragrance at 5pm, while some of the Arab world's most revered in-screen stars will be jetting in for the occasion for a panel discussion later at 7pm. Here, they'll discuss their rise to fame and red carpet style in a panel talk hosted by The Voice presenter Nardine Farag.
On November 17, Industry specialists including Ghizlan Guenez, CEO of The Modist, Patrick Herning, founder of 11 Honore, and activist Sinéad Burke, debate diversity in fashion; while a live performance by Dubai-based songstress Layla Kardan takes the spotlight on November 18.
Industry experts including Mohammed Hindash and Dr Jaffer Khan sit down to talk about the rise of the Middle East’s beauty industry on November 19, while some of the region’s social trailblazers including Dana Hourani, Dima Al Sheikhly, and Hala Abdallah chime in to discuss modern media on November 20.
Celebrity and entrepreneur Joelle Mardinian will be revealing some of her top hair tricks on November 21, while emerging designers Arwa Al Banawi, the Al Marzook siblings, and Lama Jouni lend insight into the world of fashion entrepreneurship in the Middle East on November 22.
As a grandiose finale to Vogue Loves Fashion Avenue, Lebanese superstar and singer Nancy Ajram will also be welcomed to the main stage for a special appearance on November 23.
The Dubai Mall is currently hosting its 10 Year Celebrations campaign, month-long extravaganza until November 28 featuring a fascinating array of activities and events, including Talisman, a nightly Sound & Light Spectacular, a Spend & Win promotion where three luxury apartments from Emaar Properties will be given away plus Dh10,000 ($2,722) in Emaar Gift Cards and #TDMwishes, a powerful social media campaign granting gifts to shoppers every day. – TradeArabia News Service
