Etisalat Group Q1 consolidated revenues hit $3.56bn

ABU DHABI, April 24, 2018

UAE's leading telecom services operator Etisalat Group said its consolidated revenues for the three months ending March 31, 2018, surged to Dh13.1 billion ($3.56 billion), up 5 per cent year-over-year.

Announcing the results, the telco giant said its consolidated ebitda stood at Dh6.5 billion, representing an increase of two per cent and resulting in ebitda margin of 49 per cent.

The consolidated net profit after federal royalty amounted to Dh2.1 billion resulting in a net profit margin of 16 per cent, it stated.

Etisalat said its aggregate subscriber base has reached 144 million, representing an increase of three per cent.

On the solid performance, Group CEO Saleh Al Abdooli said: "Etisalat’s first quarter results are a continuation of previous quarters’ solid performance, and a promising start for the current year, alluding positive prospects for both customers and shareholders."

"As we continue to encounter evolving industry dynamics, innovation and successful partnerships remain relevant and integral in sustaining our leading market position and assuring our profitability," observed Al Abdooli.

"Engaging the customers and allowing them to experience and probe our solutions potential has proven to be rewarding as we expand our products and services portfolio and introduce more value-adding choices," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
