Zain Bahrain, a leading telecom services operator in the kingdom, said it will be providing extra capabilities driven state-of-the-art 4G+ services at the Bahrain International Circuit during the Formula 1 Gulf Air Grand Prix.

The three-day event will take place from April 6 to 8, and is a time of high demand for mobile broadband services as visitors share the action from the races with friends and family, said the telecom major in a statement.

Zain has already increased the capacity and speed of its mobile broadband network in order to provide customers with superior internet experiences.

The continuous network enhancements will in turn provide customers with a state-of-art technologies as the demand grows for data, the statement added.

Zain Bahrain said it has a nationwide 4G network, and has recently been recognised as the fastest home fixed broadband provider in the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s (TRA) latest Q4 broadband quality of service report.

The report ranks Zain Bahrain services as the fastest across 11 key performance indicators (KPIs)—more than any other operator in the kingdom. This includes superior rankings in fixed wireless broadband along seven KPIs, it added.

Mohammed Zainalabedin, the general manager of Zain, said: "Our operations in the kingdom has witnessed a rapid growth in data traffic where increasingly demanding customers are now driving the requirement for better applications and connectivity."

“Through a mix of advanced broadband technologies, we have already embarked upon the process of deploying nation-wide networks and higher bandwidths that will add significant value to its customers’ lifestyles,” he said.

“These investments will enable them to achieve much more using anytime, anywhere broadband. We love our customers and we are committed in delivering exceptional quality of service across our network,” he added.

Within the latest TRA report, Zain Bahrain’s fixed wireless broadband services were recognised as the fast performing in terms of HTTP download speed, FTP download speed, on-net ping time, and web browsing time, amongst other categories, with more number one rankings than any other operator, said the telecom firm in its statement.

Zain Bahrain was also recognised for its stationary mobile services, ranking as the fastest performing provider in categories such as 2G and 4G mobile testing, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
