Du launches 4 new basic TV packages

DUBAI, September 9, 2015

Leading telecommunications operator du has launched its all new Basic TV packages aimed at delivering specific customer needs, by launching four unique language based packages.
 
It includes South Asian, French, English and Arabic, aimed at enhancing its TV customers' experience by offering them the option to subscribe to one or more of these packages from just Dh39 ($10.6)per month, said a statement.
 
The four new packages offer customers access to 143 TV channels and the company’s plans are to add more channels and introduce more packages to cater to the rising demand of niche TV audience segments before the end of the year, it said. 
 
To assure the best value, du are offering all new triple play subscribers the Basic English Package for free and customers have the choice to add any of the other basic packages.
 
Fahad Al Hassawi, chief commercial officer, said: “Our customers in the UAE come from diverse backgrounds and, to cater to their specific individual tastes and needs, we have created a host of new packages that will add real value to their TV subscription. 
 
"As it is vital to cater to ever expanding demographic mix in the UAE, we made the extra effort to offer affordable language based TV package that are rich in variety and entertainment, to keep our customers connected to their favorite television channels at home.”
 
“In fact, our South Asian package is the most comprehensive in terms of both content and language. Our French package offers the widest range of French entertainment to viewers. Our English package is by far the best family entertainment package around and our Arabic package offers all your favorite Arabic channels in HD. With that much new entertainment added, our customers are truly spoilt for choice," said Al Hassawi.
 
“As this is an ongoing campaign, additional packages are in the pipeline to cater to wider segments of our constantly growing audience,” he added.
