Bahrain Internet Society (BIS) board member and director of strategic alliances Ali Al Meshal secured Bahrain a membership in the Arab Internet Governance Forum (IGF) advisory committee for the second consecutive year.

Al Meshal was re-elected to the advisory committee for the year 2015, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The IGF was established as per a World Summit on the Information Society resolution issued in Tunis in 2005.

The Arab Internet Governance Forum was established in 2012 with the aim to discuss internet policies and advise authorities on internet governance. - TradeArabia News Service
