Menatelecom in Huawei Wimax deal

Menatelecom, a leading tele-communications operator based in Bahrain and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (KFH), has awarded the 2012-2013 managed services contract to Huawei Technologies.
The agreement will enable Menatelecom to continue the expansion and development
of its WiMAX network with advanced voice and broadband services for consumers and
enterprises across Bahrain.
The official signing ceremony was attended by Menatelecom chairman Abdulhakeem Al
Khayyat and senior executives along with Huawei Middle East regional representatives president Stephen Yi and vice-president Gorden Wu.
With Huawei’s high-tech and forward thinking capabilities, Menatelecom will be
ideally positioned to further develop advanced services for its customers in Bahrain.
Huawei Technologies, established in 1987, is a leading global information and communications technology solutions provider, which has established end-to-end advantages in telecom networks, devices and cloud computing.
Huawei said it is committed to creating maximum value for telecom operators, enterprises and consumers by providing competitive solutions and services.
The company will join global giant Tech Mahindra in managing Menatelecom’s cutting-edge WiMAX 16e network and ensuring that Menatelecom continues to provide the most powerful Internet services in the kingdom.
