Affno’s eGovernment solutions win award

Manama, February 16, 2010

Affno, a leading eGovernment software solutions provider, received a special memento from Sheikh Ahmed Bin Ateyatallah Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Minister of Cabinet Affairs.

The award was accepted by Kevin Kumarasinghe, Affno’s country manager for Bahrain in the presence of Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed, chief executive officer of the eGovernment Authority in Bahrain.

The outstanding progress the kingdom has made in the field of ICT, and eGovernment in particular, was clearly evidenced as Bahrain stood first in the Middle East, third in Asia, and 13th internationally in the UN’s eGovernment Readiness Report for 2010, which was released last month.

“We are extremely honoured to be associated with the leading entity such as the eGovernment of Authority in Bahrain, and hope that this recognition will serve as a springboard for future similarly successful partnerships with other organisations in the GCC and wider Mena market,” said Kumarasinghe.-TradeArabia News Service
