Majitek names group CEO, to open in Dubai

Dubai, February 5, 2009

Majitek, a leading provider of software platforms for next generation service providers, has named property industry veteran Bernie Devine as group CEO.

The company will open a Middle East base in Dubai Internet City.

A Dubai-based industry veteran, Devine brings more than 25 years of IT experience in the property sector to his new role at Majitek.

Over his extensive career he has designed and implemented operational infrastructure for developers of large buildings, campuses, gated communities, and entirely new cities – most recently the iconic ‘Palm Jumeirah’, the man-made island home to 100,000 residents.

“Majitek platforms are enabling the era of the ‘Digital Utility’ and with Bernie’s extensive background in both property and IT, he is uniquely positioned to communicate the strengths of our products and our vision to all segments of our customer and partner base,” said Majitek’s chairman, Russell Bate.

The Majitek Service Delivery Platform enables any device or system connected to a network to be accessed on a pay per use basis.

Combined with its highly scalable Cloud Computing architecture it is uniquely positioned to enable all devices and systems within an entire city to be offered as ‘utility services’ – the ultimate ‘City-as-a-Service’ play, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
