ABM to boost Mideast presence

Dubai, April 16, 2008

Arab Business Machine (ABM) is boosting its presence in the Middle East through involvement in exhibitions like Getex and a series of initiatives at several of the Middle East's leading campuses.

ABM, Apple’s representative for the Middle East, had showcased the brand’s educational tools and highlighted their commitment to the educational sector at the Getex.

The firm has already developed various programs aimed at schools and colleges using Apple's solutions in their curriculum, said a company representative.

Earlier this year ABM partnered with Higher Colleges of Technology's Dubai Men's College whereby the institute will benefit from the 'Apple on Campus' education program, he noted.

It is aimed at providing students with a full range of Apple hardware, software and peripherals at exclusive discounts.

Many educators and institutions are already using Apple’s digital media solutions in their curricula and Apple hardware and digital media applications empower students as creators, not just consumers of content, he said.-TradeArabia News Service
