Suicide bombers attack church in Pakistan; eight killed
ISLAMABAD, December 17, 2017
A packed Christian church in southwestern Pakistan was targeted by two suicide bombers on Sunday, killing at least eight people and wounding up to 45, said a report.
The gunmen wearing explosives-filled vests stormed the church in Quetta city when Sunday services had just opened, exploding a suicide vest and shooting at the worshippers, said a Reuters report.
Christian places of worship are often targeted by Islamist extremists over Christmas.
No one has claimed responsibility, the report said.
