Saudi industrial group announces key board revamp

RIYADH, January 3, 2019

Saudi-based Filing and Packing Materials Manufacturing Company (Fipco) has appointed Ahmed Abdullattif Albarrak as the new chairman and Faisal Muhammad Alharbi as the company's vice chairman and managing director in a major revamp of the company board.

It is a major producer of specialised polypropylene packaging products for industrial and agricultural uses.

A major player in the kingdom, Fipco manufactures bags for packaging fruits and vegetables, protective bags for dates, agricultural twine for baling grasses and animal feeds, cable fillers, strapping bands, and polyethylene films and coils.

Fipco said the board of directors have been elected for a three-year term from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021.

In addition to Albarrak (non-executive) and Alharbi (executive), the new board comprises Nemer Nasser Alharbi (Independent), as the chairman of The Nomination and Remuneration Committee; Ali Saleh Alshidoukhi (Independent out of the board), Ahmed Abdullattif Albarrak (non-executive), as a member, said the Saudi industrial firm in its filing to the Saudi tadawul.

According to Fipco, the Executive Committee for the current term includes Ahmed Abdullattif Albarrak (non-executive), as the chairman of the committee; Abdulrahman Ibrahim Almudaimeegh (independent), as a member; Faisal Muhammad Alharbi (executive), as a member.

The Corporate Governance Committee, which will run from January 1 to Decvember 31, 2021 includes: Abdullah Muhammad Alharbi (executive), as the chairman of the committee; Ahmed Abdullattif Albarrak (non-executive), as a member and Salah Muhammad Sabry (executive out of the board), as a member.-TradeArabia News Service
