The Department of Economic Development - Ajman (DED-Ajman) has successfully launched ‘In Ajman,’ a new initiative aimed at supporting local businesses and key projects and reinforcing the government’s relations with investors and business owners.

Under the initiative, new investors will be given an ‘I am a new investor’ card to allow them to have media coverage and marketing for their investment activities through diverse communication channels and participating in DED-Ajman-organised events and exhibitions, said a statement.

Ali Issa Al Nuaimi, director general, DED-Ajman, said: “The initiative is part of the department’s efforts to strengthen the emirate's position as a regional business and investment hub.”

“The initiative is designed to promote entrepreneurship and attract local and foreign investors to various sectors according to Ajman Vision 2021,” he added,

In addition, the initiative has identified a set of criteria for establishing an annual promotional programs, projects, and events in adherence to the existing local laws and based on their competitive advantages.

The criteria are also parallel with the emirate’s economic direction in support of sectors identified by the Vision such as tourism, logistics, outsourcing, and the media. 

The team behind the initiative visited several business establishments to meet with their owners.

Moreover, a series of weekly promotional activities were launched through the official channels of the department.

The initiative will provide entrepreneurs with the opportunity to talk about their experiences and challenges in establishing their businesses to motivate and inspire those who wish to follow in their footsteps and gain similar success, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
