Lanxess raises prices for bromine based oil field products

BERLIN, October 10, 2018

Lanxess, a leading specialty chemicals company, said its additives business unit (ADD) has globally increased its prices for all bromine based oil field products up to 11 per cent with immediate effect.

The adjustment includes calcium bromide, sodium bromide and zinc calcium bromide, as well as certain other products, said a statement from the company.

Lanxess is currently represented at 74 production sites worldwide. The core business of the company is the development, manufacturing and marketing of chemical intermediates, additives, specialty chemicals and plastics.
