Kazakhstan trade mission in Dubai
DUBAI, August 13, 2018
Companies from Kazakhstan will take part in a trade event in Dubai, UAE, with the aim of developing commercial relations between Kazakhstani and UAE entrepreneurs.
The event will take place tomorrow (August 14), at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Business Bay.
From Kazakhstan’s side, large commodity producers of processed products will arrive to Dubai from following economic sectors: light industry, agriculture, F&B (honey, meat, dairy products, sweets), electro technical industry, engineering, chemical products, pharmaceutical industry, building materials, oil and gas, etc, said a statement.
The event is an opportunity for both the UAE and Kazakhstan entrepreneurs to establish new contacts and to demonstrate their products, it said.
The organisers of this event are the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, it added.
Trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UAE is developing from year to year. Nowadays, the entrepreneurial community strengthens already existing ties even more and establishes new business partners in new industries. The UAE is a country with developing economy that has great prospects for emerging bilateral cooperation in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, as well as education and culture.
According to official data, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the UAE in 2017 was $643.06 million (exports – 558.7 million, imports – 84.3 million).
In contrast with last years, trade turnover between both countries increased nearly two times. Therefore, Kazakhstan has great potential to export ecologically clean agricultural products to the UAE. First, there are meat products and grain legumes (lentils, chickpeas, mung beans, and peas), as well as products like wheat, flour, vegetable oil and honey, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
