Kuwait-based Equate Petrochemical Company, a global producer of petrochemicals, has continued its support for the professional development of students by participating in the 18th Annual Career Fair at Kuwait’s University’s (KU) College of Engineering & Petroleum.

Equate is continuing in its endeavour to attract the best human capital for the continued growth of the industry and economy, said a statement.

During the first quarter of 2018, Equate recruited over 35 Kuwaiti fresh graduates from various majors. The company aims to increase its current 54 per cent of local human resources, it said.

Hussain Al Omran, human resources talent and performance management leader, Equate, said: “Our company prides itself with having propelled its growth from Kuwait.”

“Throughout the fair, our team will be interacting with students from different majors, such as chemical engineering, to attract, train, develop and qualify our most important elements which are the human resources,” he said.

“Our collaboration with KU includes a memorandum of understanding that covers academic, scientific and other fields, which are part of our sustainability strategy to support the New Kuwait 2035 Vision,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
