Barwa Real Estate, one of the leading real estate investment companies in Qatar, has awarded a construction contract worth QR139.95 million ($38.24 million) for its Al Baraha Warehouses and Workshops project to Qatar Building Engineering Co (QBEC).

The project will be completed within 18 months.
 
The project will be constructed on the existing truck parking parcel of 684,134 sq m plot in the Barwa AlBaraha Project (The workers city) located in the Industrial Area, zone 91.

It will provide suitable spaces to be used as warehouses for small and medium enterprises and also offer mechanical and electrical workshops to meet the market demand, the company said.
 
The project will have a total built-up area of around 193,000 sq m, which includes 573 warehouses of 300 sq m size, in addition to 135 workshops of 144 sq m size.

The project will also cover the construction and upgrading of infrastructure and all the services required for the project, including  two electrical substations, internal roads, potable water and sewage networks, etc. - TradeArabia News Service
