ZonesCorp takes part in 'Happy Workers' event

ZonesCorp, the Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones in Abu Dhabi, recently participated in an event for workers organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization at the Workers City - Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The event, called "Happy Workers", was held under the patronage of Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Ohood Al Roumi, Minister of Happiness, said a statement from ZonesCorp.
The event included artistic activities, a special fireworks show, recreational activities and sports competitions as part of efforts by the wise leadership of the UAE to provide a safe, healthy and happy work environment for workers across the nation, it said.
Eisa Al Khyeli, director general of ZonesCorp, said: “We are honoured to be the official sponsor of this event and other activities aimed at providing a better living environment and higher levels of social integration for workers.”
“It is very important to recognise the essential role that the labourers play in the overall growth, progress and prosperity of Emirate,” he said.
“ZonesCorp is keen to ensure the best international standards of safety and security in workers cities under its supervision. Also we do our best to ensure that all the services and infrastructure that safeguards a high standard of living for workers is provided, so that they are motivated, productive and creative in their work,” he added.
“We have significant experience of developing, managing, and operating workers and industrial cities. Currently ZonesCorp has been instrumental in the development and supervision of 30 labour cities housing over 450 thousand workers, in partnership with the private sector,” Al Khyeli concluded.
The director general of ZonesCorp commended the legislative efforts made by the various different authorities in the UAE such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to continually improve the labour market in the UAE, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
