Oman's NBC hosts open house for public
MUSCAT, April 12, 2017
Oman-based National Business Centre (NBC) yesterday (April 11) organised an open house event for the public aimed at offering them an opportunity to learn more about its services and the incubated companies’ experience at the centre.
The business centre was created in 2012 under the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) to support Omani entrepreneurs, start-ups, and also small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Mulkie Al Hashmi, director of marketing at NBC, highlighted the role played by the centre in offering a premier platform for Omani entrepreneurs by providing business development support and guidance, training and mentoring, access to markets and industry experts, and state-of-the-art and fully equipped office space, meeting rooms and presentation facilities.
She also highlighted the objectives of the centre which comprise facilitating and supporting the growth of investable ideas into successful businesses; building entrepreneurial skills through dedicated and focused training, coaching and mentoring; and providing business support facilities from office space, administrative support, financial support and consultancy services that are crucial in ensuring the success and survival of new ventures.
The open house programme featured a successful story of an incubated company delivered by Shaima Al Lawati of Destination Sustainability Company, said a statement from NBC.
The company is specialised in corporate social responsibility and sustainability consulting in the sultanate, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
