Dubai Economy and agencies unveil new identity
DUBAI, March 21, 2017
Department of Economic Development in Dubai, and its three agencies Dubai SME, Dubai Trade and Exports, and Dubai Investment Development Agency (Dubai FDI), have adopted a new corporate identity, said a report.
This latest development is in line with the mandate given to them to organise economic activity in the Emirate of Dubai, said a Wam news agency report.
In addition to replacing the old name ‘Department of Economic Development’ with ‘Dubai Economy,’ the new identity is represented by a unified logo built around the image of Dubai creek, the commercial lifeline of the emirate and the cradle of its history and culture, it added.
The new identity reflects the continuity in the tasks assigned to department and its agencies as well as their achievements in implementing the vision of the leadership to make the emirate number one in various fields through enhancing economic diversification, sustainability, competitiveness and ease of doing business, protecting rights of traders and consumers, supporting entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), accelerating foreign trade and exports, and attracting knowledge-based and innovation-driven foreign capital.
