MESC boosts range of cables

MANAMA, February 9, 2017

Middle East Specialised Cables (MESC) is showcasing its range of cable solutions at the Gulf Industry Fair, where it is participating mainly to support its distributors in Bahrain.

K V Ramaseshan, MESC’s regional sales and export manager, said: “MESC is well known in the oil and gas sector but it has now diversified into the power and construction business as well since it has a large capacity to produce the required cables and a wider approval.”

With the growing demand since 2012 for power cables, the company decided to turn its attention to cater to this demand and a new team has been formed to focus on this segment.

The Saudi-headquartered company’s cables are designed and manufactured to international standards.

Most of MESC’s products are supplied to buildings and roads projects and these include low smoke products for malls and hospitals.

Considering that it is mandatory to have fire protection systems in buildings, MESC is promoting its recently introduced fire cables, which have seen an increased demand.

In the oil and gas sector, MESC is mainly involved in instrumentation and control and special cables and has gained the trust of many international contractors, according to Mohammad Gharaibeh, the area sales manager for this sector.

MESC is at Stand C4a at the Fair, which is being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. The expo closes today (Feb 9). -TradeArabia News Service
