Top professionals attend Bahrain chemicals event

MANAMA, November 22, 2016

Top local and international scientists and professionals are  attending a major chemical industry conference in Bahrain.

The 10th International Conference and Exhibition on Chemistry in Industry (ChemIndix 2016), which opened yesterday (November 21) will conclude tomorrow (November 23), at the Gulf Hotel's Gulf Convention Centre in Manama.

The event is being held under the patronage of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the conference was inaugurated by Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, said a Bahrain News Agency report.

The event is being organised by the Saudi Arabian International Chemical Sciences Chapter of the American Chemical Society (SAICSC-ACS) in coordination with the National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga).

Shaikh Khalid thanked HRH the Prime Minister and hailed the organising committee's choice of Bahrain as a host of this series of specialised conferences and exhibitions which testifies to the good reputation of Bahrain as a major host of regional and international functions.

He stressed that the event represents a platform to exchange innovations in chemistry and specialised engineering related to the oil and petrochemical industry.

The conference will highlight the connection between oil refineries and the petrochemical industry as well as the increasing demand in the petrochemical industry and encouraging companies to take advantage of modern technologies to improve production and preserve the environment.

The event is being held under the theme "Sustainable Energy Industry through Innovative Chemistry".

The conference is a recognised technical event encapsulating the latest state-of-the-art technologies, products and solutions used in the energy industry. Participation in the event offers organisations exposure to high-ranking officials and top-tier leaders from academia and industry.
