UK-based Reflex Marine, a global leader in offshore access, will discuss offshore operations and crew access needs with a range of stakeholders at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The company, which supports the Middle East’s growing offshore industry in its marine crew transfer needs, is taking part in Adipec, which opened yesterday.

As the number of vessels in the Middle East has increased, Reflex Marine’s personnel carriers have established themselves within the operational, logistics and risk assessment considerations for most companies in the region’s offshore sectors, said a statement from the company.

Representatives from the company are available at Adipec which will run till November 10.

For the second year running, the offshore and marine industry is featuring predominantly at Adipec. The event includes an offshore, marine and heavy equipment zone with six sophisticated vessels and a purpose-built, waterside theatre. Conference and panel sessions will also consider offshore and marine development and safety, it added.

Adipec, in the run up to the next Opec meeting, scheduled for November 30, should bring further perspectives on the future resilience of the offshore sector and its global outlook for the next few years.

Reflex Marine sees the region’s expanding offshore oil and gas industry as part of a wider, multi-industry growth in offshore activities across the Middle East and is continuing to work with these sectors and legislative bodies to consider the critical aspect of transferring personnel safely as a priority.

The company recently made a strong move towards the marine industry, and is discussing marine crew transfer operations with tanker companies, shipyards, ports and other stakeholders.
