Nexans to promote latest solutions at Gitex

France-based Nexans, a leader in cables and cabling systems, said it will be promoting its world-class LAN cabling solutions including its latest data centre innovations at the upcoming Gitex Technology Week 2016, in Dubai, UAE.
The event, a major technology exchange and marketplace, will take place from October 16 to 20, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Nexans also plans to use Gitex as a platform to strengthen its Middle East network by meeting its existing and prospective customers and partners, said a statement from the company.
“We are happy to participate at the event, which is an ideal platform for us to promote our latest cabling innovations for both office and data centre environment to a focused audience that is looking for the latest and best technologies at the exhibition,” said Tarek Helmy, regional director Gulf and Middle East, South and East Africa at Nexans Cabling Solutions.
“Being first global vendor to offer commercially available Cat-8 cabling solutions in this region, the spotlight will definitely be on Nexans LANmark-8,” he said.
“We will also be showcasing our extensive range of LAN cabling solutions including LANmark-7A for 25G, LANmark Enspace for scalable fibre solutions, LANactive fibre-to-the-office (FttO) to name some,” he added.
“By participating in the event, we would like to show our commitment to our customers and partners in terms of our leadership in offering latest and best technologies and our long-term plan to firmly support them in the region,” he concluded.
Nexans offers a wide range of solutions that fit the customers’ present and future needs. The company will be promoting its latest data centre innovations under the name of ‘Smart Choices for Digital Infrastructure’, which includes different data centre infrastructure technologies that helps managers to support flexible, cost effective bandwidth architectures, optimized space usage and faster modular deployment, said a statement.
Nexans will also be highlighting the features and benefits of its Nexans LANmark-7A and LANmark-8, which are designed for scalable and cost-effective high speed data centre applications and help customers scale up to 25G and 40G Ethernet over copper cabling, it said.
Nexans’ LANmark Enspace solutions for data centres includes patch panels, cables and connectors which will help data centres meet the growing data demands.
Enspace brings a number of benefits to the end-user by optimising space usage and cable management. With Enspace the company can offer end-users a fibre cabling solution that is able to reduce rack space by 50 per cent compared to conventional fibre systems.
Also on display will be Nexans’ LANactive FttO solution, which offers customers a new alternative approach to office networking by using passive fibre cabling and components together with locally distributed active FTTO-switches to provide Ethernet services via standard copper based RJ45 technology to the device, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
