Dubai-based RSA Logistics, a leading third party logistics (3PL) provider, was awarded the CSR Label for its sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

RSA Logistics received the honour from Hisham Al Shirawi, second vice chairman, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at a ceremony held at the head office of the chamber, said a statement from the company.

CSR forms an important part of RSA Logistics’ organisational objectives and reflects its commitment to its team members, clients, vendors, the wider community and the environment, it added.

In addition to encouraging team members to actively participate in the initiatives, the company also maintains longstanding partnerships with charity organisations, NGOs and charity events such as the Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, Standard Chartered Marathon, Dubai Blood Donation Center and Orbis Charity Plane for Cancer patients, it said.

Abhishek Ajay Shah, managing director of RSA Logistics, said: “It was our first time participating in the CSR Label certification and we are happy and humbled to have been recognised for our CSR practices.”

“Through our initiatives, we hope to make an impact not only in the lives of those who are less fortunate, but also in terms of highlighting the responsibility an organisation like ours have towards the community,” he said.

“Receiving the CSR label gives us a comprehensive assessment of where we stand in our social commitment, corporate strategy, management practices, customer satisfaction, environmental impact and social initiatives. I would encourage all small and medium enterprise (SME) organisations to apply for the CSR Label as it will provide them a solid framework for implementing their CSR practices,” he added.

The Dubai Chamber CSR Label has been designed to provide a diagnostic framework, and learning and development tool that will help to refine and improve CSR strategy, policies and practices in the UAE. It provides a clear standard for CSR implementation in Dubai and elsewhere in the UAE by evaluating and giving feedback to companies on their CSR strategy and actions, and helping them communicate better with stakeholders about their CSR commitment and practice, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
