Kunooz Oman to step up minerals output

MUSCAT, November 30, 2015

Kunooz Oman Holding, a leader in mining and mineral processing sector, plans to step up its production activities in the gypsum, limestone and lime segment, a report said.

Additional mining and crushing capacity at its quarries in Dhofar Governorate are expected to contribute to the Group’s exports targeting the Indian market for limestone and global markets for gypsum, according to Dean Cunningham, CEO of Kunooz, said the Oman Observer report.

The company will showcase its achievements at the three-day Oman Mining & Minerals Exhibition and Conference, which opens at Oman International Exhibition Centre today (November 30).

“One of the themes that I will touch upon is the path to the Initial Public Offering of our family business, the pitfalls and advantages that we uncovered along the way, and how one needs to do it successfully.  I think Kunooz is a very good success story that will serve as an interesting model for others to look at when they look to go public,” Cunningham told the Observer.
