KMC inks gulfBID sponsorship deal
MANAMA, November 25, 2015
Kuwaiti Manager Contracting (KMC), a leading player in the construction sector, has signed up as a strategic sponsor for the Gulf BID, the Northern gulf’s leading annual expo for the GCC’s construction sector, which opens in Bahrain next year.
The annual three-day show will kick off on April 26 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain.
The event, which is dedicated to promoting the construction and building material sector to the architectural, engineering and design communities of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, is being hosted by Bahrain-based Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE).
KMC, a division to KMC Holding, the Middle East’s fastest growing group of Shari’ah compliant holding companies, was established in Bahrain in 2004 and has a wealth of experience across a wide range of markets within the public and private sectors offering a first class construction delivery capability.
The group has successfully penetrated the market offering a total solution package throughout the GCC with the launch of KMC Project Management, KMC Contracting, KMC Electromechanical, KMC Readymix, KMC Building Materials and KMC Real Estate.
This is the third consecutive year that KMC has signed up as a strategic sponsor for gulfBID.
"KMC has found excellent brand promotional value from the gulfBID Expo over the last two years. The exhibition continues to deliver on our vision with HCE to promote excellence in the GCC’s construction sector," stated KMC Group deputy general manager Fadi Al Shaikh at the signing ceremony.
"Some of the big KMC Bahrain projects include Durrat Al Bahrain, Isa Town Traditional Market Renovation, Wadi Al Sail Mall and our new (Bahrain) HQ in Seef. We have been praised for our work in Kuwait’s National Museum, the Ministry of Awqaf Head Quarter, Kuwait’s Public Health Centres as well as the Yall Complex," he revealed.
Recently KMC was awarded the BDF Hospital expansion contract adding to their current $3 Billion portfolio and increasing their capital to $35 million.
Welcoming the sponsorship, Jubran Abdulrahman, the managing director of HCE, said: "Saudi Arabia is widely recognised as the growth area for Middle East’s construction industry; however Bahrain has billions of dollars’ worth of projects which are set to take off beginning with the airport expansion followed by railway network, a new causeway to Saudi Arabia, power generation projects as well as housing projects undertaken for both the public and private sector developers."
"The gulfBID Expo provides a significant networking showcase to generate business opportunities for suppliers to these projects," noted Abdulrahman.
"With the strategic support of KMC, gulf BID 2016 will have the endorsement of one of the Kingdom’s fastest growing and influential contractors," he added.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Alaa Alzurba, KMC deputy general manager and HCE director Ahmed Suleiman.
The gulfBID takes place alongside two other major exhibitions - Gulf Property Show and gulf Interiors - thus ensuring the continued success of the biggest integrated business-to-business platforms for the construction, interior and property sectors in the Northern Gulf.-TradeArabia News Service
