Lindgren ... expansion due to increased customer demand

Al-Futtaim aviation unit boosts maintenance capabilities

DUBAI, October 1, 2015

DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF), a fully integrated business aviation facility at Dubai World Central (DWC), has expanded its maintenance capabilities with the addition of two new aircraft types.

DCAF is a joint venture between Dubai-headquartered Al-Futtaim and Germany’s DC Aviation, one of the leading European business jet operators with its headquarters at DWC.

The Al-Futtaim group company, which has been granted approval from the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), can now provide maintenance at its hangar at DWC for the Bombardier Global 6000 and Global 5000 Vision Flight Deck aircraft types, said a statement from DCAF.

With this move, DCAF aims to provide maintenance support to customers operating the Airbus 320 family, Bombardier Global Express, the Challenger 604/605 Vision Flight Deck aircraft types.

Additionally, customers can also look forward to receiving a diverse range of maintenance support from spare parts supply, procurement and storage to maintenance and airworthiness certification, said the company.

The DCAF hangar has enough space to accommodate four ACJ or BBJ type aircraft of the heavy business jet category as well as two ultra-long range business jets such as the Falcon 7X, Bombardier Global Express or Gulfstream G550/G650, it added.

Michael Lindgren, director of maintenance, said that the expansion was due to increased customer demand and in line with its plan to provide greater service offerings to customers.

“The approvals from the UAE GCAA and EASA further reiterate our commitment to meeting the highest quality standards to ensure that our customers and their assets are safe and secure,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
