MHI names successor firms for ship, hull block businesses
TOKYO, September 8, 2015
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is set to spin-off its ship construction business to a group company MHI Ship and Ocean Engineering Co and its hull block manufacture business to a group company which has been established for this company split - MHI Hull Production Co by absorption-type splits on October 1.
The name of the two successor companies, both described as 'to be announced' in previous disclosure notics, have been decided.
The ship consturction business successor company post-split will be called Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Shipbuilding Co. It's business will include the engineering, manufacture and repair services of ships.
Meanwhile, the hull block manufacture business successor company post-split will be Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Hull Production Co. It will be involved in the manufacture of hull blocks. - TradeArabia News Service
