Sparrows expands into Saudi with new partner Zamil
JEDDAH, August 17, 2015
Sparrows Group, a leader in the provision of engineered products and services in the specialist areas of lifting and handling, cable and pipe lay, and fluid power to the energy industry, has expanded its reach in the Middle East after forming a local partnership with Zamil Group in Saudi Arabia.
The firm already has Middle East bases in Abu Dhabi, UAE and Al Khor, Qatar and recently opened new regional headquarters in Dubai, said a statement.
Stewart Mitchell, chief executive officer, said: “The Middle East is already an important market for Sparrows and will continue to play an increasingly significant role for us in the years to come. Saudi Arabia is a powerhouse in the region and we have focused a lot of resources in identifying the right partner to support us in entering the country.
“Zamil Group is an organisation with a very strong reputation for quality and client focussed delivery. We believe we have found a partner that complements our own strengths in the delivery of engineering, equipment, inspection, operations and maintenance, and training across the asset life cycle.”
Mohammed Al Baadi at Zamil, said: “There are opportunities in Saudi Arabia for companies with high levels of expertise that can provide support for operators in the country. Sparrows Group is well-known worldwide for the expert knowledge and skills they can bring to a project.
“We look forward to working with Sparrows Group and hope our partnership will be a long and successful one.”
The firm has been growing its business worldwide and Sparrows Group recently announced it had entered into a partnership with Eftech in Malaysia, said the statement.
The country-wide agreement sees Sparrows Group offering its products through the local service provider as part of a plan to treble business in Asia Pacific over the next five years, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
