Toshiba's new image sensor
Toshiba to start industrial use image sensor production
TOKYO, March 31, 2015
Toshiba Corporation's Semiconductor and Storage Products Company is set to start mass production of a new CMOS image sensor with a 1/3-inch optical format and full HD resolution at the end of April.
The new Toshiba, image, sensor, CMOS, April employing Toshiba’s original high dynamic range (HDR) function, is optimised to capture clear images even in high contrast light conditions without blown-out highlights, said a statement.
The sensor will allow videos to be shot at 60fps in full resolution and realises natural, smooth images. It will be offered in a small plastic Ball Grid Array (PBGA) package.
It will meet the requirements for high resolution, high-speed frame rate and high fidelity images for industrial use, and is suitable for such applications as security and surveillance cameras, monitor cameras and driving recorders. - TradeArabia News Service
