Emerson Process Management, a leader in helping businesses automate their production, distribution and processing facilities in key industries, has launched the Rosemount 4088 MultiVariable Transmitter.

The latest device is a new platform for Emerson in upstream and midstream oil and gas applications, providing differential pressure, static pressure, and temperature measurement from a single transmitter, said a statement.

The advanced Rosemount 4088 extended range capability captures flow rate spikes above the upper range limit of the transmitter to account for flow that would have traditionally been missed, it added.

By accurately measuring flow that is commonly missed, this extended range capability guarantees the accurate accounting of oil and gas production, potentially saving companies thousands of dollars a year.
