US firm Aspen Technology, a provider of software and services to the process industries, is set to showcase its best practices at a key event in Bahrain next month.

Ethylene Middle East Technology Conference (EMET) 2014 will be held at the Gulf Hotel's Gulf Convention Centre from October 19 to 21, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

It will focus on 'Meeting Technical Challenges in the Ethylene Industry through Efficient and Sustainable Technology'.

The event will bring together technical experts from all over the world to share practical experiences, innovative ideas and strategies for reducing costs, maximising return and value creation on issues related to planning, design, operation and maintenance.

As a sponsor of the conference and member of the EMET 2014 advisory committee, AspenTech will showcase its software, including innovations in engineering, advanced process control, manufacturing execution systems, petroleum supply chain and supply chain management.
