Silversea unveils ME brochure

Dubai, February 13, 2008

Ultra luxury Silversea Cruises has launched its first dedicated Middle East brochure in the UAE through Dnata Holidays.

The 24-page colour guide, available in both English and Arabic language versions, showcases itineraries through to December 2008 will be available at Dnata Holidays and the premium retail outlet, The Holiday Lounge by Dnata.

Trudy Redfern, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing UK, Ireland and Middle East markets, Silversea, said: 'Our ships and itineraries cater to the discerning traveller’s love of discovering fascinating locales in luxurious surroundings.'

'We think this new brochure, designed exclusively for the Middle East market, does an excellent job of communicating Silversea’s easy-going luxury and the rewards of travelling by small ship to explore the world’s most exotic destinations.'

'Besides giving details on the 14 voyages that will take the tourists to Middle Eastern ports during the next twelve months, the brochure highlights a total of 24 desirable itineraries in the far east, Mediterranean and Northern European regions.'

There is also comprehensive information on Silversea’s signature amenities, special programmes, deck plans and pricing, Redfern said.

Nick Sheppard, regional head of Leisure & Non-Air Products, Dnata, said: “Cruising is becoming increasingly more popular in the Middle East and we are delighted that the leading luxury cruise specialist, Silversea, is focusing so strongly on this market by offering these exciting cruise itineraries within a dedicated brochure.”

Another feature of the new bi-lingual brochure is a voyage-by-voyage summary of the full itineraries in an easy-to-read calendar format.

Silversea’s fleet of four, all ocean-view suite ships are set to visit 340 different ports in 116 countries on a diverse schedule of more than 140 itineraries ranging from six to 110 days, he noted.

The six-star rated ships will also visit 27 new destinations in 2008 including Taiwan, Okinawa, Guam, Pohnpei and the Gambia.

A fifth ultra-luxury ‘expedition ship’ will be added to the fleet in summer 2008 and a sixth new-build ship will begin service in the winter of 2009, Sheppard added.

To mark the brochure launch, Silversea has unveiled a special promotion specifically for the Middle East region.

‘Exclusive Celebrations’ offers guests celebrating a special occasion at sea, such as an anniversary, honeymoon or birthday, a $500 shipboard spending credit for their 2008 voyage.-TradeArabia News Service
