Mowasalat launches 360 school buses
Doha, August 30, 2007
Qatar's Mowasalat is launching its new fleet of 360 custom-built school buses, the company said.
The company is also planning a “Karwa Fun Trip - All New School Bus, All New Experience,” campaign on September 2, 4 and 6 to promote the fleet.
“We are proud of the effort by the Education Ministry and the Karwa brand buses epitomise safety, comfort and reliability, the three things that matter most,” marketing manager Ahmed Al Ansari said.
“The new fleet takes the total number of our school buses to 1,231, which would be ready for the Ministry of Education on September 16,” said mass transit director Anthony Tallant.
Al Ansari said Mowasalat is now finalising with the Ministry the distribution of the buses to various schools with their routes and schedules.
“Besides government schools, some private schools are also likely to use these buses,” he said.
Each bus has a DVD player with 15-inch LCD screen, full suede/leather interior, tropical in-climate roof mounted air-conditioning system, and thermo-cooler drinking water dispenser.
“The buses would be well-maintained every day, and careful handling is ensured by our professional and well-trained drivers,” Ali said.
