Cleveland Clinic enhances patient service in Al Ain

ABU DHABI, June 27, 2018

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain, a new facility designed to support the community in the ‘Garden City’ and surrounding areas, is now offering patients access to select outpatient medical services.

Part of Mubadala’s network of healthcare providers, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain will provide patients in the region with direct access to Cleveland Clinic’s unique model of care closer to home.

The announcement has been welcomed by existing patients living in Al Ain and the surrounding area, who will benefit from consultant-led services in primary care.  Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s primary caregivers can seamlessly refer Al Ain-based patients to specialists as required for follow-up diagnosis and treatment through our integrated healthcare system.

Patients are now able to book appointments with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi healthcare professionals to receive diagnostic services and health advice in Al Ain, covering general medicine, cardiology, digestive diseases, neurology, pulmonology and bariatric, cardiac and general pre- and post-surgery assessments and advanced PET-CT and CT diagnostic imaging on set days of the week.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain has integrated the state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging resources and full team from the Tawam Molecular Imaging Centre, so patients can enjoy the highest standard of service across a range of treatment areas. These include diagnostic imaging services for the early detection and management of cancer, cardiovascular, neurological and other diseases.

Dr Rakesh Suri, chief executive officer, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, said: “Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain is our first facility outside our main campus in the heart of Abu Dhabi, and it reflects the increasing demand across the UAE and wider region for the expertise of our multispecialty physicians and our patients-first approach to healthcare.”

“This new facility will make it more convenient for people to receive primary care from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s consultants based in Al Ain, with follow-on support as needed from our main location on Al Maryah Island, as well as through our partners.  We are fully focused on sustainably serving the needs of the wider community, so the opportunity to get closer to patients in Al Ain is a very welcome one,” he added.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi – Al Ain will work closely with Mubadala’s healthcare providers in the area, such as Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, to provide comprehensive diagnostic experiences.

Patients who need surgery or a longer-term care program, and those requiring multi-disciplinary care, will be transferred to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s main facility in the capital after initial consultations. – TradeArabia News Service
