Mediclinic, Fatima College sign academic tie-up

DUBAI, May 6, 2018

Dubai-based Mediclinic Middle East, part of Mediclinic International, a private hospital group, has signed an agreement with Fatima College of Health Sciences to facilitate academic collaboration and create learning and development opportunities for UAE nationals.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) will pave the way for students enrolled in nursing, health emergency (paramedics), pharmacy, radiography and physiotherapy to experience on-the-job training in various Mediclinic facilities across the UAE.

Dr Tarek Fathey, chief operating office of Mediclinic East, said:  “Mediclinic is committed to the employment of UAE Nationals by creating and fostering a workplace that supports up-skilling, career advancement and development. Partnerships with educational institutions such as Fatima College of Health Sciences create an avenue for UAE Nationals to hone their clinical skills through the provision of patient-centric learning experiences under the supervision and guidance of clinical professionals at various Mediclinic facilities.”

Dr Hamed Alneyadi, senior manager executive Government Relations at Fatima College of Health Sciences, said: “This agreement is the bridge of new cooperation between the two parties to strengthen the strategic partnership that will facilitate the clinical placement of our students in various specialities in Mediclinic hospitals.”

“In addition, this agreement will include the exchange of experience in the field of healthcare, staff up-skill training, teaching and joint research. I am confident that we have the best partner in Mediclinic,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
